March Meeting

The Session held its monthly stated meeting on Sunday, March 10 at 12:15 p.m.
|
Clerks Report
• The Session approved use of the church on Saturday, May 25 for the wedding of Kristy Vincent’s brother William McGuire to Paula Byrd.
• The Session approved Jerry Vincent as the officiant at the McGuire-Byrd wedding.
Treasurer's Report
• Statement of Operations Summary for February 2024: Income $18,194.63; Expenses $22,477.22; Net Income loss $4,282.29.
• The audit of 2023 books was completed, with no major findings.
Landscape Committee
• The Session approved hiring West Lawn and Landscape to prune shrubs, plant new shrubs in front of the church, and remove a tree.
Outreach Committee
• Compassionate Hands will serve lunch at their facility three days a week from April to November.
• A clean-up day at the Annex is planned for this spring.
Worship Committee
• The church will participate in Stations through the Square on Good Friday, March 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to welcome visitors.
• The Session approved the purchase of a new sound system for the chapel.

New Business
• The Session will meet with a consultant from Cyclical Full Circle on March 22 and 23.
