2017 Stations Through the Square

Good Friday – April 14
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Good Friday is a day to reflect on the meaning of crucifixion.  Stations through the Square is an opportunity to move through the 14 “Stations of the Cross,” walking to a different place to remember each station.  You can arrive any time during the day and walk at you own pace.

The walk will begin and end at First United Methodist Church.  The route travels up and down Main Street and Cumberland Avenue through the Lebanon Square to each station, with the path forming a cross.  The path will be about 2 miles in total length, broken up along the way in ¼ mile increments.  There will be an alternate “Stations of the Cross” at the FUMC for people who can not walk that far or for inclement weather.

First Presbyterian Church is the second stop on the walk. Volunteers are needed to welcome participants into our chapel.  If you are interested in helping for a couple of hours on Friday, April 14, please call the church office.
