Empty Bowls in Wilson County benefits the Wilson County Community Help Center which provides thousands of meals annually to our hungry neighbors. Each bowl created will be displayed at the Empty Bowls Luncheon in November. After a simple meal of soup and bread, patrons take home a bowl of their choice. The bowls, each unique, are a reminder that everyone’s hunger is unique and that someone’s bowl is always empty.
Coming together as a community to help feed hungry people is at the heart of what Empty Bowls is all about. Teachers and students, potters, scouts and churches, bakers and restaurant owners, citizen volunteers – people of all ages and experience levels make the bowls that will be purchased by people who come out in support of a good cause.
Select from hundreds of original handcrafted bowls, eat delicious homemade soups and breads, participate in a silent auction, and be entertained as you support this campaign to help end hunger in Wilson County.
